Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 2026-05-04

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of StageLab (the "Service"), a web-based platform for creating, sharing, and managing technical riders for the live events industry. By creating an account, joining the waitlist, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Service operator

For legal and tax purposes, StageLab is currently operated by its co-founder Sergi Miral as a Spanish autónomo (self-employed professional). A Spanish company (sociedad limitada) co-founded with Roger Capell is being incorporated and will take over the Service. This change will not affect your account or your data — we will email you in advance when it happens.

Until the company is incorporated, Sergi Miral is the contracting party under these Terms and the data controller for the purposes of GDPR. References to "StageLab", "we", or "us" in these Terms refer to that operator.

2. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using StageLab, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind that organisation.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

3. Description of the Service

StageLab provides tools to create, edit, collaborate on, and share technical riders — including stage plots, input lists, and related production documents. Features may evolve over time. We do not guarantee that any specific feature will remain available.

The Service is currently in an invite-only beta phase. Access, functionality, and availability may change at short notice while we iterate toward general availability.

4. User accounts

To use most features of the Service you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information, and to keep it up to date.

You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at admin@stagelab.studio if you suspect unauthorised use.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to upload, create, share, or transmit content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, harassing, or that violates another party's rights or privacy.

You agree not to attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, overload, or bypass any security or access control of the Service, and not to use the Service to develop or train a competing product.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the riders, stage plots, files, and other content you create or upload to the Service ("Your Content").

You grant StageLab a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, transmit, and process Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service on your behalf (for example, to render a rider, generate a PDF, or share a link you created). This licence ends when you delete Your Content, except for reasonable backup retention required for normal operations.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, logos, and documentation, is owned by StageLab and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited rights expressly granted to you in these Terms, you receive no rights in the Service.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written permission.

8. Pricing and paid plans

StageLab is currently in an invite-only beta and is provided free of charge. There are no paid plans active at this time.

Paid plans (such as a Pro tier for individual users and an Enterprise tier for organisations) will become available in the future. When they do, this section will be updated with full pricing, billing, renewal, and cancellation terms before you are asked to pay anything. You will not be auto-enrolled in a paid plan; any upgrade will require an explicit action by you.

Until paid plans launch, no payment information is collected and no charges are made for use of the Service.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. As an early-stage beta operated by an individual professional, the Service may experience downtime, data loss, or breaking changes; we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any content will be preserved without loss.

You are solely responsible for confirming that any technical rider generated with the Service meets the requirements of your production, venue, and jurisdiction. We strongly recommend keeping independent backups of any rider you depend on for live work.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StageLab and its founders will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Because the Service is currently provided free of charge during the beta, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to EUR 100. This cap will be revisited when paid plans launch.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms, or if we reasonably believe your use creates risk or legal exposure for StageLab or other users.

On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any dispute will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Barcelona, unless mandatory consumer-protection laws in your country of residence grant you additional rights.
